Cookie policy

The current website works without tracking or marketing cookies. That is why a consent banner is currently unnecessary.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that a website can store in your browser. Similar techniques include local storage, pixels and other identifiers. Some techniques are necessary for a service, while others are used for statistics, personalization or advertising.

2. Which cookies does Hasselt Media use?

Current status: no tracking cookies

The public website itself does not place analytical, preference, advertising or marketing cookies. There is no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Matomo, Plausible or similar tracker active.

Because no consent-required cookies or similar techniques are placed, we do not show a cookie banner. A banner without an actual choice would unnecessarily hinder visitors and give the wrong impression.

3. Internal page events

The website uses a few internal browser events to make contact actions and form statuses work technically, for example when you choose WhatsApp or start the contact form. These events:

  • remain only temporarily available in the open page;
  • are not stored in cookies, local storage or session storage;
  • are not automatically sent to an analytics service;
  • do not contain form content or contact details;
  • disappear when you close or refresh the page.

4. Contact form and external service

The contact form sends your entered details to Hasselt Media's own contact API. To send the email, the website uses Hasselt Media's own mail server over SMTP. This is not an analytics or advertising tool and does not place marketing cookies on the public website.

The form uses technical security fields, such as a hidden spam field, start time and submission ID. Those details are intended to reduce spam, duplicate submissions and misuse. More information about the processing of form data is in the privacy statement.

5. Technical request data

The hosting provider may process technical data needed to deliver and secure the website, such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser information and error messages. These are server data and not marketing cookies from Hasselt Media.

6. What if this changes?

If Hasselt Media later adds analytics, embeds, marketing tools or other techniques that require consent, this policy will be updated and a clear choice will be provided before those techniques become active. You can see from the version date at the top when this policy was last changed.

7. Browser settings and questions

You can view, block or delete cookies through your browser. Because this website currently does not place its own cookies, that is not necessary for Hasselt Media. Questions can be sent to privacy@hasselt-media.nl.
